Subject: YouTube Video: A sermon in three minutes
I have written a script for a YouTube video that will help spread God’s word and draw in new people to the church. A lot of people that search YouTube for sermons are actively seeking a church home. With this script, they get a message from God, see the quality of preaching the church offers and get an idea of where they should visit next.
The person I want to teach the sermon is Pastor Brown because he is the representative of the church. I want the face of the church in real life to match the social media face. The script does have some b-roll footage. The woman should be a Latino woman approximately in her mid-20s. The person posing as a therapist should be an older white male in his 60s. By casting these people, it gives the video different races and a range of ages as well.
YouTube videos index videos based on key words. Key words that I believe should be included are below:
Sermon
Three minutes
Baptist Church
Great Commission
Douglas E. Brown
Apostle Paul and Storms
Acts 27
A good description for the video would be as follows: Great Commission Baptist Church’s Pastor Brown gives a quick sermon over anchoring life’s storms.
Although this video was made for YouTube, there are other outlets in which this video can be placed. Posting this video on Facebook would be a good option. A lot of our members use Facebook daily and they could share it to their friends, and it will be seen by many people. Of those people, majority of them would be in our target audience, adults between the ages of 30-50. Another option would be Twitter. It allows a younger audience that typically does not like to sit through a full sermon hear the lessons Pastor has to teach. Next would be to post it on our website. This allows someone searching for churches nearby to see what our church believes before choosing to attend.
Please look over these plans and let me know if you have any other suggestions.
